Catalyst Chicago is the leading source for information covering Chicago's Public School System. The magazine is sent to educators, school administrators and political decision makers, and offers in-depth analysis and special reports on education in Chicago.

In 2005, Catalyst chose Mark Royko + Associates to build its proprietary web publication platform. Since that time, the magazine has evolved from serving content grouped by its relationship to the print issue, into a dynamic publication that serves blog pages, breaking news, and feed aggregation.

In its newest incarnation, Catalyst runs on the Drupal content management system. The migration was directed by Mark Royko.
